• kiingdonpellyoso One of the many things I'm gonna miss about being a Middle School teacher in the South Bronx (yes I know I said many, I've had a blessed and transformative difficult year but so much growth!!) is the learning from my students. 👩ðŸ�¾â€�ðŸ�« I really am going to miss working with the difficult Black and Brown boys and girls. Especially giving the boys opportunities and space to perform and define their own healthy masculinity. Like the news I got is so awesome but God knows I love my kids so much and I've adopted them (feels like literally). When you have had the painful, enlightening and richly layered conversations and experiences with students who are SPECTACULAR -it's so hard to move onwards. When you think about how they overcome so much adversity everyday and how inspiring they are and how you wish you could protect them from so much but you eventually found solace in the environment you created for them. and to move on. it's so hard. Being honest, I know I have to relocate because my commute everyday from Queens to the Bronx and then school in Manhattan in the evenings aggravated my health along with becoming a financial burden. But so much of my heart is on Fox St. â�¤ï¸�😞 this is hard and I pray God sends them a teacher with even more patience and love in my place. 🕊🔑 #SouthJamaicaAndSouthBronx #WhenYouRelate #TransformationTuesday s

• kiingdonpellyoso 🗣Lemme praise God. Unapologetically. So 6:48 am I received a call from NY. I am up because I've been working and studying in Costa Rica. 7am-5pm everyday!🙅ðŸ�¾ I answered the phone and it was a Principal from an Elementary school in Queens. She wanted to interview me. on FaceTime! 🙃😮 So I FaceTime'd her at noon. Today. 15 minutes later. Four beautiful Black women faces later. A principal. An assistant principal. An IEP coordinator. A technology teacher. All Black women. Told me they want me to join their team. So I will be working in Queens at an Elementary school. 💃ðŸ�¾ðŸŽ‰ðŸŽŠðŸ”‘✨ #Growing #MsLaBordeMovesBackHome 👩ðŸ�¾â€�ðŸ�«â�¤ï¸� #OpenMarketDidntCloseOnMe I'm going to miss my babies in the South Bronx though so badddddd😞s
